We currently have 2 riding horses at Treffdyn both were professionaly broken to ride over the summer and both are going very well. They are both good to catch, handle and have kind temperaments. TJ (Trefddyn Jack) is a red and White coloured WPBR and Ace is a Piebald WPBR they are half brothers as they share the same sire the coloured WPBR stallion Whitson Redcarr. Whitson won many in hand show classes including the Royal Welsh traditional class in 2009. He was also a good riding horse and jumped 1.3m course with ease. He was also regularly seen driving at local weddings Both are excellent natured and just need riding out regularly to finish off there educations. Both geldings would excell in the show ring - Ace has already been shown in hand with his previous owner and won many coloured classes in good company. Both geldings are registered WPBR and would do just as well in the part bred classes as coloured as they are both full of welsh breed qualities and have plenty of bone and good confirmation. Nolan and I hope to ride them throughout the winter and they will hopefully be ready to show under saddle in the summer when they will be offered for sale. T.J as a 3 y.o Ridden Gelding.
![]() ![]() He is beautifully marked isnt he? Picture on the right as a yearling XXXXXXXXXXXXXX This is Ace lovely isnt he?
This is a picture that Mili Peel (www.welshwelshcobs) took it's lovely isnt it? He's such a nice boy too. Prior to this photograph being taken he had only been ridden half a dozen times. Hes got an old head on young shoulders I think? ![]() These 2 pics were sent to me by Mel Evans who had Ace and his mum on tack as a foal she says she has very fond memories of him. I know why! ![]() ![]() These lovely pictures were kindly sent to us from Emma (thanks Emma) who had owned Ace from a yearling she very sadly sold him to us as he wasnt going to make the height she had believed he would make. She likes 16hh+ horses but 14.2hh/14.3hh suits us just fine now! ![]() ![]() ![]() Ace is such a sweetie with a lovely cheeky personality he loves nothing more than to be standing somewhere by Nolan if we are in the barn he will pop in to see whats going on and have a rub. Then if its not very interesting off out he goes again! When out riding he really enjoy's himself he's very sure footed even on the stoney paths and just ploughs through the bog's on the mountain. He loves jumping the brooks and ditches. He's turning out to be a really nice uncomplicated lad with a kind personality. |
